This is chapter two of my little between-game story project.

Content Warning: This chapter deals with emotional and physical abuse and hints at torture.

For anyone viewing this who's not in my D&D game, I'll give you some back story... Duprive is a half-dragon half-alligator swamp witch who lives on an island called Stillmoon (because the world's second moon has stopped orbiting, and hovers directly over the island). Stillmoon has become a hub of magical research, and the most powerful adventurers have gathered to plum the mysteries of magic. (There's a *lot* going on in the history of the world)

Anyway, Sargoth is a dragon who wears a human disguise, who has taken one of the PCs in as a "pet". This PC has fled Sargoth's service and is traveling with a group of adventurers, one of whom is Dupreve's pupil.

Morsel is a powerful spellcaster, who is the offspring of part dragons: Budreaux (Duprive's son) and Hearschail (A kobold / dragon wizard).

Okay, so those are the characters; here's the story: Duprive and the council of advisors on Stillmoon have sent the PCs to find a sword that has zig-zagged through time, and been used to kill a deity. They believe that the sword holds answers to devastating time-ripples that have been wreaking havoc across the world.

During the first chapters of their adventure, the hobgoblin Bugrhudd accompanied the party until they were attacked by a group of assassins sent by a mysterious cult that worships an ancient dragon who is said to sleep under the sea. Bugrhudd split from the party to bring an amulet they found on the cultists back to the council, but (as you see in chapter 1) he brought it to Sargoth instead.

Sargoth orders Bugrhudd to go to the party's next port of call, get himself captured by the cult, and endure torture so that he can feed the cult information and win their trust.

Meanwhile, the heroes ran afoul of a very powerful aristocratic family of necromancers, and fled the city where they reunited with Bughrudd (presumably after his torture). They got separated from him again, and fled through underground tunnels, where they ran afoul of the son of the ancient dragon worshipped by the cult.

They then hooked up with a traveling theatre, had a couple little adventures, and ended up in a town where they met a little old elf, who identified one of the actors in the troupe as a 13-count-killer who murdered a tyrant 300 years in the past, and on the other side of the continent. the old elf then gave the party a potion, which she explained would reveal the secrets kept from them.

The art in this chapter was generated with AI, because I am abysmal at art, BUT I am teaching myself a new style, which I would like to use for the next installment.  I'm having fun making these, and the last one has gotten about 17 more plays than I has intended or expected. So, for those of you finding this little game through the search and suggestions and whatnot, Welcome, and please tell me how I can make these more entertaining for you, who don't get all the between story from the D&D games.
